Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in
Plateau State has issued a stern warning to anyone attempting to be
around polling units during tomorrow’s elections without Permanent
Voters Cards, PVCs.
INEC once again stated this warning and said that PVCs would be allowed into polling units even as card readers would be deployed for the April 11, 2015 elections.

This statement was signed by the Head, Voter Education and
Publicity, Osaretin Imahiyereobo, the commission said that it had taken
adequate measures to ensure that the card readers do not pose any
challenge during the exercise.
According to him, “The Commission has reviewed the operation of the card readers in the March, 28th elections, identified the challenges and has taken adequate measures to address them.
“Card readers are to be deployed for the April, 11 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in the State.”

He also told the people that PVC’s would not malfunction and if it did and cannot be replaced within a specific period, then voting will continue the next day.
Malfunction of PVC’s were rampant in the south south during the presidential elections and the President even hard problems getting registered.
