Igbos Should Not Portray Themselves As Ungrateful People - Okorocha

The Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has warned Igbos in Lagos to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday because the party has the power to make life unbearable for Igbos in the state.
Okorocha while addressing newsmen in the Imo state capital, Owerri, said “Igbos should not portray themselves as ungrateful people, the only way they can show appreciation is by massively voting for APC the party that has protected their lives and properties over these years.
“The Lagos state government led by APC has the capacity to make life unbearable for all Igbo traders and resident in Lagos if they so wish. So you see, the Oba was figurative in his speech not necessarily that Igbos will be drowned in Lagoons.”
Meanwhile the president-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has urged Igbos in Lagos to forgive Oba Rilwan Akiolu and move on.Igbos Should Not Portray Themselves As Ungrateful People - Okorocha

He said, “There is no doubt that Lagos is a mini-Nigeria. We are all here and it has been mentioned by previous speakers that everybody (tribe) is adequately represented in Lagos.
“So, I assure you. If you vote for the continuity of APC in Lagos, you stand to gain more. It is in your interest that you vote for the APC.”
The Imo state governor recently blamed the Igbo leaders for their myopic thinking which has now denied the region the chance to produce either the Senate president or the Speaker of the House of Representatives in June.
The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu has been under fire since Monday when he reportedly threatened the Ndigbo in Lagos to either vote for the APC governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, or perish in the lagoon.
