Google can now find your misplaced phone and even ring it!

Some new features from Google will help you to find your misplaced phone, you can ping it on a map and even make it ring

Losing your phone is a real nuisance, especially when you're convinced you've put it somewhere safe - somewhere so safe that you just can't locate it. Thankfully, Google is here to help, giving you a hand with finding your Android phone from the desktop.
Just pop over to your device manager on Google right here
and it will get you to sign into your Google account for security. Then it should automatically start to locate your most recently used registered device, provided you have location turned on. And even in the event that you don't, you can force the phone to ring from anywhere. Do please note it will do so at full volume for 5 minutes, so even if you left the phone somewhere else you'll probably annoy other people into finding it! From this screen you can also lock the phone (so only you can open it) or erase it completely.

"We’ve all been there — you’ve searched under your car seat, tossed around the sofa cushions and you still can’t find your phone. If you know where your computer is, you can now ask Google to find your Android phone from your desktop. If the pesky phone is hiding nearby, Google can ring it for you — or you can see it on the map if you, say, forgot it at the bar. Just make sure you’ve got the latest version of the Google app installed on your device!"
You can also just type in 'find my phone' and Google will do the rest. Though we still recommend just not losing it in the first place!
